The Australian Spinal Research Foundation (ASRF) and the International Federation of Chiropractors and Organisations (IFCO) have come together in a collaborative event to showcase the significance of chiropractic and the impact on the health and lives of humanity. Board members from each of these illustrious organisations and thought leaders from the organisation’s membership are presenting on a topic vital to subluxation-based chiropractic and fulfilling the potential of chiropractic’s health revolution.

In 1895, DD Palmer delivered the first chiropractic adjustment. It was distinct from spinal manipulation that had historically taken place on a mechanical basis in places like Egypt, Greece, China and Polynesia. The adjustment was different, it transcended the physical application of spinal manipulation to the neurological and metaphysical aspect of chiropractic adjustment, unifying man the physical with man the spiritual.

With this event, a health revolution began. The focus was no longer on manipulating the spine to alleviate pain—it was to express human potential and elevate consciousness of humanity.

Medicine resisted this revolution—they attacked chiropractors for practicing medicine without a license. They attempted to prevent the chiropractic health revolution from taking place. Despite these attacks, licensure was granted—and BJ Palmer took chiropractic to a new level.

The battle to prevent chiropractic’s health revolution from continuing went up a gear—The AMA, through the Committee on Quakery, endeavored to “contain and eliminate” the chiropractic profession. In an anti-trust lawsuit chiropractic was vindicated—and the revolution continued!
